Hosted at Denizens Brewing Company in downtown Silver Spring, join us at 1:00 PM on Saturday December 15, 2018. Tickets are $15 per person ($25 for two) and include snacks and appetizers. Cash Bar. Partygoers will have the opportunity to win great door prizes, participate in a card-raffle to win an unused classic Orvis bamboo rod, and meet fellow TU members from their neighboring chapter.
CARD RAFFLE: Unused, 1965 Orvis model 99, 7 foot, 2 piece, 1 tip bamboo fly rod. Will work well with both a 4WF line and a 5WF line.
The model 99 was introduced for Orvis’ 99th anniversary and they continued to sell them for a number of years. They are made with the same taper as the Orvis Battenkil, the difference being a slightly lower quality of bamboo and only 1 tip. This rod comes in its original sock and aluminum tube. Estimated retail value is $500. 52 Tickets may be sold.
